Growing up, I was the book-smart sister — the one my baby sister adored and the pride of our parents. I loved her, but as kids, she often cried and annoyed me, and I didn’t want to take her along.
As we got older, I tried to bring her along on my academic journey, hoping to help her embrace higher education. But books and studies weren’t her path. She discovered her own strengths and passions, and eventually decided to return to our hometown to chase her dream. Watching her take charge of her life, build her own business, and grow into a confident, independent woman made me proud — and brought us even closer.
When she decided to explore e-commerce, I knew I wanted to help her. It was the perfect way for us to stay connected despite the distance, and our parents supported the idea wholeheartedly.
As we considered what to sell, my cousin’s jewelry store gave us inspiration. But we wanted more than just beautiful designs — each bracelet had to carry meaning, honoring culture, heritage, and the connections that bring people together. That’s how Pure Zen Stone was born.
